Welcome to the only single online resource dedicated to supporting Big Island Hawaii’s artistic communities. We feature artist portfolio and biography information, keep a events calendar current and point out great gallery spaces. Hilo Art Museum's Education and Special Exhibit Center

The Hilo Art Museum’s Education and Special Exhibit Center is located in Hilo’s historic Iron Works building. Lessons at the E-SEC are offered in a variety of artistic genres to everyone ages 10 and up. On display you can see the teaching collection, which consists of life-size, hand-painted reproductions of the masters, as well as original works ranging from local artists to Picasso. A small museum shop is also on-site.

The HAM also holds regular artistic events and has strong ties to the community. From concerts to contests, there is something to enjoy for all age groups.

October 1st Friday

This upcoming First Friday the Hilo Art Museum is featuring the Fifty-Fifty Surf and Skate Art Show. The show will run for two months and launches October 5 from 5 – 10pm.
